Blessings

I had one of those encounters last night at the Bua concert that make my day.

I had the honor of emceeing the show at the Community Christina Church and a lovely woman named Valerie from nearby Emporia, Kansas introduced herself to me at the intermission. Which in itself is a nice thing to have happen to a fella. But in this case it got even better when she told me that she never missed the Kansas City Irish Fest and that to her it was the best weekend of the year. She said that for her it was like Christmas coming every year. And she said thank you.

I can't even tell you what a lift that gives all of us at Irish Fest. So many people work so hard all year to make this big party happen and when somebody takes a moment to say hi, thanks for what you do it gives you all the incentive you need to keep doing it.

So Valerie, and the other several people who I spoke to last night, on behalf of all of us, you're very welcome. And thank you right back.

Thank you to Valerie and all the others; we think it's the best weekend of the year also!
