Ground floor, babies.
That's where we find ourselves today. This area is so exclusive, so cutting edge, it doesn't even have a box on the volunteer form yet. If you're still looking for the ideal spot for your Kansas City Irish Fest duties, you may want to type this in to the comments box (until we can get a proper box up for you anyway):
Vendor Support
When people come to Irish Fest they expect a few things, without fail. Great music. Irish heritage displays. Cold beer. And good food. We have lots of great food and beverage vendors getting ready right now to keep the masses fed Irish Fest weekend. Once they're here, they'll need help, support and monitoring from the staff to make sure the grub keeps coming to the hungry throngs. From Jim Ondick, the ultra-cool chairman of the committee in charge of that important duty comes this helpful description of what you might find yourself doing Irish Fest weekend when you join his team:
• make initial rounds to contact vendors with committee chair, explain new process implemented (tickets for beverages), and answer questions as needed
• make periodic rounds for vendor contact to check status and vendor inventory
• take new orders where applicable and pass them to the Beverage Committee for distribution
• assist Beverage Committee with delivery of drinks and ice in between vendor rounds
• serve as a representative of the Irish Festival if asked directions or questions from festival patrons
• upon close of each evening – make rounds to settle out each vendor’s orders for the day
• upon close of each evening – retrieve, open, and serve beers to committee chair
• upon close of the festival – make final rounds to settle out vendor’s orders and confirm understanding of new process implemented this year
Clearly, this is no area for slackers, dopes or ne'er-do-wells. So I'm out. But it sounds perfect for a go-getter like you. Sign up today. Let Daneil and Mike know through a note in the comments box that you want to join the Vendor Support committee.

Ok, I think my area does need a volunteer, one who can:
• upon close of each evening – retrieve, open, and serve beers to committee chair
Yeah, I think I need a volunteer to do that... Sounds posh.
