Turn Us Up To 11

Please don't forget, you lovers of Irish music, to listen to the Thistle and Shamrock on KCUR FM 89.3 in Kansas City this Sunday, April 6 from 1:00 -2:00 PM. Between the Celtic discs spun by host Fiona Ritchie, you'll hear Irish Fest Site Host boss and all around foxy lady Sarah Walsh, Irish Fest director and red hot mama Mary Alice Beebe and myself asking you to pledge a little money love to support public radio. If you're not here in Cowtown, listen in streaming at www.kcur.org and pledge on-line. We'll still get the message, still read your name on the air, still be grateful. When pledges come in, whether by phone or on-line, they hand us these little pledge forms where the volunteers who take your calls will write down any special messages you might want to send us. "Hey, Uncle Bloggy! Shut up!" you might say. Or "Hey, Uncle Bloggy! I got your pledge right here!" you might say. Or "Hey, foxy ladies! Tell Uncle Bloggy to shut up!" you might say. I'll trust you to come up with something good.

KCUR is longtime and valuable media partner to the Kansas City Irish Fest and twice a year they ask us for a little coin to keep going. And you get your coffee mug and tote bags and whatnot too. So do your part, and make sure you do it on Sunday. The pledge room phone number is (816) 235-5287. Write that backwards on your forehead so when you look in the mirror you'll remember. Sunday!
