Ever heard me sing? My voice makes babies cry and grown men reach for fire arms. When I air out the pipes, women within earshot long for the sweet, silent release of death. As a singer, I'm a hell of a bartender.
So I will not be competing in the final round of "Irish Idol " as presented by the folks at the Martin City St. Patrick's Day Parade in preparation for their Irishpalooza celebration on March 16th. But my absence makes one more spot for you and your talented self. This last qualifying showdown is Wednesday from 7:30 to 9:30 at RC's Back Door Lounge, 330 E. 135th St. in beautiful Martin City. Do well there and advance to the finals where you can win a cool three quarters of a grand.
And with that money, better invest in earplugs. St. Patrick's Day always makes me want to sing a song or two.

You and Scanlon should do a duet. That would help collect all the strays around.
