After that flurry of band announcements last week, we'll take a wee break now and catch our breath with other agenda items. Like cows.
It was this week one year ago that we first introduced you to our step dancing Irish Fest cow and three dancing bird friends, wonderfully illustrated by artist Maria O'Keefe and wonderfully named Sinéad O’ Moolihan and the Tra La Las" by Name-The-Cow contest winner Teresa Sudduyn of Oak Grove Mo. Sinéad has earned herself happy retirement to a clover filled pasture after all that dancing and we're currently auditioning new cows to represent our Celtic Pride in Cowtown for 2008. This Friday, we hope to introduce you to the winner of this intense cowpetition, right here. So if you yourself happen to be a child, or if you happen to have one or two laying around the house, take note: our new cow will need a new name, and we'll once again be holding a contest to come up with one.
Will the new cow be dancing? Will she have friends of an avian or other persuasion? We'll find out Friday.

Sounds more like Bull!
After all that fuss? After all that effort? She gets to retire after only one appearance at one festival? Even here in Arkansas any self-respecting cattle/man/woman/child/person would be a-shakin' their heads and a-spittin' on the ground a-sayin' "Now there's a waste of good hoof".
Can she at least make one more appearance and put the crown on the head of the next contender and take that last walk to the tune of "There she goes... Miss whatshername?"
Yeah, we're hard on our beefs up here in Cowtown. But you know, the old girl's tired. After all, she's been dancing non-stop with those damn birds for a solid year now. Time to moove on.
