Today In History

The 21st Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified 74 years ago today, December 5, 1933:

Section 1. The eighteenth article of amendment to the Constitution of the United States ("The manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors within, the importation thereof into, or the exportation thereof from the United States and all territory subject to the jurisdiction thereof for beverage purposes is hereby prohibited.") is hereby repealed.

In case you needed an extra reason to head down to O'Dowd's for the Eddie Delahunt Show tonight and a cold Boulevard beer. Happy Repeal Day!
