Today is football day in these parts. Undefeated University of Kansas and once-defeated University of Missouri play this evening on the NFL Chiefs home field. The Kansas City Irish Fest, being located here in the great state of Missouri, but also being a scant 40 miles or so from KU, is pulling a Switzerland on this one and staying neutral. We just want everyone to play honorably and represent their schools well. We wish both teams could win. If you happen to have no allegiance to either school or state, and no interest in the outcome, I'm sorry to say you'll have trouble avoiding the game if you're heading out tonight looking for Irish music in K.C. But you can always try.
At Llywelyn‘s Pub at 151st and Metcalf, for example, where you can catch 2007 Kansas City Irish Fest performers Flannigan's Right Hook on their home field. If you missed these guys at Irish Fest, find time to check them out. They're rising fast and when they're huge, you'll want to be able to say you were an early adopter.
As for the game, from the Kansas City Irish Fest, best of luck to both teams. From me personally...is a fuzzy little cartoon bird really any match for a tiger?

As far as that last question...a BIG NEGATORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Regan,
You are spot on as usual, they have gone from 8th best Irish Band in KC to 7.5.
Flannigan's Right Hook are good trio but rising fast is not how I would categorize them. Performing a lot yes, but "rising" no. I have seen and enjoyed them on many occasions, but to me it is always the same show. Once you have heard them, to put it bluntly, you've heard them. Give me more traditional bands like Tullamore, Kelly and The Lucky Charms any day. These bands truly have mastered the Celtic sound, and always keep me interested.
