Thanks

Sincere thanks to Ed and Barney for the blog posts yesterday and to all of you who commented, called and e-mailed to wish me a happy birthday. Here in my sunset years, such small kindnesses are rare and appreciated.

I think Ed said it best when he called me bright and early yesterday morning with a cheery "Happy Birthday, ya old f**k!"

You can't buy better friends than that. Though God knows I would if I could.
