The Kansas City Irish Fest handed out awards to some very deserving staff members at our meeting last night. Congratulations to Rookie of the Year Natalie Smith, whose leadership of the brand new recycling committee made it such a huge success this year. Also to MVP Award winners John Hayes, who worked night and day building, moving and maintaining every thing in sight Irish Fest weekend as the Site Foreman, and Laren Mahoney of the PR committee who made sure that people across the country were aware of what a great party we throw here on Labor Day weekend.
To the entire staff, every one of whom deserves an award, a trophy, a medal, a testimonial dinner and a big hug, thank you and congratulations on a job very well done.

Natalie, John and Laren are great choices. They really have helped make KCIF what it is known for. Volunteers who are willing to go the extra mile for the festival.
Thanks,
Barbara
I think our festival is so fortunate to have ALL the volunteers that we do have! From the board of directors who work on the festival 12 months a year, the committees heads who work on there areas tiressly, to those who give us one shift over the weekend of the festival. We couldn't do without ALL of you!!!

WOW -- What great news to come home to! Thanks so much for thinking of me, although I don't deserve this honor any more than the rest of the Board, planning committee or 1,000 volunteer who love KCIF as much as I do. Looks like we've got another reason to celebrate tonight since I couldn't join in the festivities on Thursday!
(WOOOO!)
Laren
