Happy Friday. And thank you for all the great suggestions this past week or so for 2008 Kansas City Irish Fest performers. What an incredible list of talent. If you've been curious about how these things work, here's what happens next: we throw them all out and book whoever the hell we want.

Kidding. Here's what happens next. We have a meeting scheduled for mid October where the Fest directors will meet with Maestro Dave Shaughnessy. Every single one of your recommendations will be presented and considered. Then thrown out.

Kidding! Come on, it's Friday. Seriously, it's an amazing and comprehensive list and I guarantee that there are bands on it that we'll pursue and book. As always, schedules, availability and cost will limit us (sorry Van Morrison fans) but your help and input is invaluable and much appreciated.

Keep the suggestions coming. We expect major booking to be completed before year's end. I hope we get your favorite band for KCIF '08.
