Play Ball

A very cool shot of the Halfway to St. Patrick's Day crowd at the ballpark last night, snapped on a cell phone by Kansas City Irish Fest site host honcho Barney Walsh. Along with Barney, Irish Festers including volunteer coordinator Mike Armstrong, longtime volunteers Brian McCarthy and Matt Scanlon, beer tent queen Mary Nestle, gate guru Kevin Bundy and yours truly were there watching the home nine get their arses handed to them by the visiting Southsiders of Chicago. Loads of corned beef and boiled cabbage. shepherd's pie, bangers, taters, bread pudding, free green caps and (ugh) green beer made for a good time had by all, in spite of the drubbing.

Who wants to give a report on the McCormick and Schmick party?
