More kids' news today. I told you a few weeks ago (months ago? The days blur, memory stumbles.) that Hallmark's Kaleidoscope won't be returning to Irish Fest this year. I know that news probably caused all kinds of wailing and gnashing of teeth amongst our yourger patrons. At least amongst those with teeth to gnash. Well, fear not, whippersnappers. We've got your arts and crafts needs covered like glitter on construction paper. The Kansas City Irish Fest children's area is pleased to welcome ArtsPloration to the fest this year.
ArtsPloration is a Kansas City company that provides learning experiences for children and professional development for teachers. You'll learn, oddly enough for an Irish Fest, a Japanese bookbinding technique to make your own book. Then take that new book and fill it up with whatever you want: poetry, autographs, diary entries, doodles. Might I suggest the collected works of Uncle Bloggy?
ArtsPloration. It's ArtTastic!*
*Note from ArtsPloration management: This lame slogan was not made up by or approved by us. It is the unsolicited work of the blogger, who we think stinks. We are much cooler than that, as you'll see Irish Fest weekend.
