I want to take a moment to wish a very speedy recovery to our dear friend, Irish Fest director Mary Alice Beebe as she recovers in hospital from some major back surgery.

I visited M.A. in her hospital room yesterday and true to form, the first thing she asked me was if she'd missed any Irish Fest news. She should be up and around and better than ever when we open in just 41 days. But when you see her, maybe refrain from the hearty congratulatory slap on the back.
