At our monthly committee meeting tonight, Kansas City Irish Fest staffers will vote on their favorite of two designs for the 2007 staff T-shirts that we'll all be decked out in over Irish Fest weekend. We're big on the t-shirts at Irish Fest, which is why we continue to offer a free one to each and every volunteer who signs on with us every year. Yeah, it's expensive. Yeah, the good people who help us every year would probably do so even if we didn't give them a free shirt. But if you're generous enough to give us part of your holiday weekend, it seems only right that we give a little something back.

Volunteers also get a free ticket to Irish Fest, free refreshments during their shift, and an invitation to a volunteer thank you event in the fall. All that free stuff for a four hour shift? Our volunteers are smart people.
