For the 1st time in the history of the Eurovision song contest, Ireland has submitted a traditional ...kind of...song.
Do we have a chance? Is this number really in the same league as such classics as Ireland's earlier entries, like 1975's The Swarbriggs and their timeless "That's What Friends Are For" or Linda Martin's not-at-all overly dramatic 1984 submission "Terminal 3"?
Time will tell, ladies and Gentlemen of the whole wide world. The competition takes place on May 12th. It's The Chance Of A Lifetime. If we win, I'll be A Happy Man.
