Another thing you should be busying your Irish self with with in this final 129 days until Irish Fest weekend: contest preparation.
As I told you here awhile back, new this year we're hosting contests in three areas: photography, knitting and baking. And look, man, you can't just wait until August to get started on this stuff. Do you know how long it takes to knit something like a sweater or a tea cozy? Me neither, but I bet it takes awhile. And you photographers. You'll need to shoot hundreds of pictures to get that perfect prize-winning shot. That takes what? Time. And while the scones you bake this morning might be a little stale in 4 months, you need that time to tweak your soda bread recipe and try it out on your test eaters. Hell, you people should have started this stuff last Christmas!
