It's Monday again, and that means only one thing.
Start making weekend plans. I'll tell you where I'll be next Sunday night and where you should be too. At the Liz Carroll and John Doyle concert at Bragg Auditorium in All Souls Unitarian Church.
I saw this duo at Milwaukee's great Irish Fest a few years ago and they're remarkable. You'll seldom see see two musicians so in sync with each their and their material. And each individually is masterful. Liz Carroll was an Senior All Ireland Champion on the fiddle at the tender age of 18 and she's perfectly complimented by guitarist, singer, songwriter Doyle. John is also a founding member of Solas, performing as you know at Irish Fest this year. Concert goers will also have a chance to win some beautiful pottery handmade by MVFS member Mike Dugger. Please check this out. You won't be sorry.
The concert is another presentation by our good friends at the Missouri Valley Folklife Society, purveyors of great acoustic music, Irish and the other kind, all year round.

I listened to them last week in Omaha and they were great. Pure raw Irish music played by two of the finest. John Doyle is God!
Go check them out
