Sunburned, Refreshed

Hi. I'm back from a much needed break in a warmer and sunnier part of the country. As you can see if you look closely at the cap on my head, I was representing for Irish Fest even on hiatus, because that's the kind of Irish Fester I am.Now, of course, with April 1st upon us, the question is: what kind of Irish Fester are you? I hope you're the smart kind. The kind that knows that the early volunteer gets the metaphorical worm. That by volunteering you not only help Irish Fest grow and succeed, but you also get your best job on your best schedule. The kind, in short who will volunteer on April 1st by using our on-line sign up form.

When you do that, you'll be beginning a long and meaningful relationship with one of the newest members of our Fest family, our new volunteer coordinator, Daneil Armstrong. Let's meet her now:

Greetings Irish Festival Volunteers!

Hi! I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself, I'm Daneil Armstrong and I am your new Volunteer Coordinator for the 2007 Irish Festival. I'm so excited to be meeting you at the festival.

Sign up and the volunteer form will be available on the website starting April 1st. Be sure to get your form filled out quickly so you can have your top choice of volunteer spots. Just like last year, you will have the opportunity to read through the descriptions of each area and mark which ones sound the most appealing and what shifts work best for you.

I hope to see each of your smiling faces again this year! You all were such an amazing help last year and we couldn't have pulled off the Fest without you! We also hope you will encourage friends, family, co-workers - anyone, to come volunteer this year. As the Festival grows our volunteer needs grow as well.

Finally I would also suggest you keep checking the website.Not only will some great information on the Fest soon become available, but Danny Regan, festival director and immediate past president, has been writing some pretty entertaining blogs in the blog section.
