The Radio News

Good news and bad news.

Bad news: it's time for the public radio pledge drive again, when a group of Kansas City Irish Fest staffers invade your radio and beg for your donation to keep public radio on the air.

Good news: you won't have to listen to me this time.

Sunday from 1:00 - 2:00 PM during The Thistle And Shamrock, listen in and pledge your support to KCUR-FM 89.3, an important Irish Fest partner. A crew of Festies, anchored by president Ed Scanlon will be on asking for your financial help. For the first time in may years, I won't be among them. Which of course means that they'll set a new pledge record and I'll never be asked back.

Oh well. Call in and pledge on Sunday anyway. Just make sure when you do, tell them "we would have pledged more if Regan was asking."
