3/17/07

On behalf of all my friends in the Irish Fest family, a very Happy St. Patrick's Day to you and yours. It's still dark as pitch here as I type this, but I'm sure a beautiful day is about to dawn. If you're in Kansas City and are heading downtown for the parade this morning, please wander over to 27th and Main and say hello before we start moving.

Remember, the parade starts at 11:00 at Pershing and Main. Hope to see you there.

Have you seen Thelucky charms? I have been following them since December and they just get better and better. I wanted to leave a comment on the KC Irish Fest website, but it sent me here. So, here goes... They should definatly be one of the bands at the fest this year. Why? They are fun, high energy, with tight harmonies and are one of the few bands from here that sing the traditional songs!!! When I asked why they didn't have a drummer (drumset player) Cricket told me she wanted to keep an authentic sound. I truely belive they have done that.
You can check them out at www.theluckycharms.com, but their sound now is even better than on their website. Since recording their cd they have added another female vocalist and a female fiddler.
