I'm constantly being asked this question: "Irish Fest isn't until the end of summer and it only lasts three days. What do you guys do all fall, winter and spring?"
Okay, maybe not "constantly asked". "Occasionally" might be a bit of stretch too. But I'm sure somebody asked something like that once or twice.
So for that person who may or may not have asked that question or one slightly similar to it, I'll tell you. Thanks for asking. We move stuff around. See, Irish Fest is made out of tents and stages mostly, and once they get set up in the days before the Fest opens, they're very heavy to pick up and move if, say, you decide that tent would look better over there by the tree...no, bring it over a little left. Right there. Not too close to the Port-a-Potties.
So we've been moving stuff since October. And you'll like it when you see it. Look for a much bigger and snazzier Boulevard Pub Stage this year. Better flow in the food vendors area. More convenient placement of the aforementioned Porta-a-Potties. Easier shopping.
Cause we're moving stuff. That's what we do all winter. Hey, it keeps us out of the bars.

Hi Danny - Can you ask the lovely fish and chip vendor if we could please have real chips (french fries) this year instead of "ruffles with ridges". The fish is wonderful, just needs complimenting w/real chips! Oh, and a nice cup of tea... nothing like a nice hot cuppa w/your fish and chips on a balmy eve in early sept at the KCIF -
Mad you say, she's mad!
