Forthcoming On Friday

Well, kids it's Friday and I know you've been patiently awaiting another band announcement. Sorry to have been so stingy of late, but Ronan and Shocko, my evil masters on the entertainment committee keep me on a short leash. Or is it a short Laois?

Anyway, I've a got a good one for you today. Joining us for the first time at the Kansas City Irish Fest in 2007, the amazing, incredible Solas. Seamus Egan, Winifred Horan, Mick McAuley, Deirdre Scanlan*, and Eamon McElholm make up this amazingly talented band. Seamus Egan alone has won All Irelands on every instrument except glockenspiel, and he could probably win that one too. Irish Fest fans with good memories may recall that Solas was on the roster for the very first Kansas City Irish Fest back in 2003, but we were washed away by the torrential rain before they ever even got on the plane in New York.
