"The Kansas City Irish Fest welcomes its newest volunteer, Alana Morrison Brion. Alana is the daughter of Bridget & Paul Brion and Lily's new little sister. Bridget is my daughter and volunteered as a nurse in our First Aid Tent. I'm sure Alana and Lily will be helping their aunt Molly who handled the staffing of this area. Alana was born Sunday morning at 4:10AM indicating that she should be an excellent festival addition since most of the festival crew seldom go to bed before 4 AM. Needless to say this old Poppy could not be prouder when I say "she is the prettiest little thing ever".
I guess it is ok at this age to discuss a lady's weight, Alana tips the scale a mere 7 pounds 5 ounces...nice size for a baby, small for a turkey.
There will be little Scanlons all over the festival grounds this summer. You can tell who they are, they are the well behaved children. Their parents on the other hand we will need to keep an eye on."
