Thankful For A Plan

The long holiday week beckons before us and I know just the way to start it.

Eddie Delahunt. O'Dowd's on the Plaza. All your friends. 8:00 tonight. Rumor has it that the incomparable Máirtín DeCógáin will be there for a song or a brush dance or two. Okay, not a rumor exactly. He told me over lunch yesterday that he'd be there. So why would you want to be anywhere else?

And after the evening's fun at O'Dowd's tonight, you'll want to stop by Eddie's Cafe & at 45th and State Line Road for breakfast. For the holiday tomorrow, Becky the baker will be up early at Eddie's baking her should-be-world-famous cinnamon rolls to start your day of overeating. Becky happens to be one of my six sisters, so I know what I'm talking about when I recommend those rolls. Gobble gobble.

See you tonight!
