Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann Wednesday

Don't forget the once-a-year performance by the fantastic young trad musicians and dancers from Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, this coming Wednesday, October 18th at the Rose Theater, Rockhurst High School, 93rd and State Line Road. The show is at 7:30 PM. Music, dance and maybe a story or two are all part of the show, and it absolutely should not be missed.

There are now more than 400 Comhaltas chapters throughout the world, including the United States. Through local classes, concerts and sessions, Comhaltas preserves traditional Irish culture and promotes Celtic music. Locally, this concert will help support the Celtic Fringe, a not-for-profit organization and its support of Kansas City community projects.

Tickets are $20 per person, $10 per child under 12, $15 for college students with valid ID (available at the concert only). Tickets are available at the door or in advance at Browne’s Market, Doherty & Sullivan’s Irish Goods, Irish Crystal Company, and Sheehan’s Irish Imports.

For more information, call Rory O’Connor at 816-985-7789 or Sarah Walsh at 816-942-3582. Sponsored by Kansas City’s Celtic Fringe. For more information about Ireland's Comhaltas, go to www.comhaltas.com.
