It's a big weekend for Irish music, with the Weston Irish Fest looming on Friday. I for one, am not waiting until "The Man" says the weekend has started. If Thursday's the new Friday, then that makes Wednesday the new Thursday, which means that Wednesday is in fact the new Friday. And if it's Wednesday, then Eddie Delahunt is playing at O'Dowd's on the Plaza and I'm still celebrating my birthday (which I'm sure you're all sick of hearing about) and what more do you need to declare the weekend in effect? Not one damn thing.
So let's all go! Eddie starts at 8:00. See you there. Look for me. I'll be the old guy saying "hey, buy me a beer, it's my birthday!" to anybody who'll listen.
