Negro Leagues legend and 2006 Kansas City St. Patrick's Day Parade honorary grand marshal John "Buck" O'Neil passed away last night here in Kansas City. It's a very sad and tremendous loss for our city, for baseball, and every one of us who was lucky enough to have crossed paths with him.
Rest in peace, Buck.
