A year's worth of work pays off today at 5:00 PM when we kick off the 2006 edition of the Kansas City Irish Fest. It's a busy day for all of us, but I need to take care of some housekeeping before I get to work.
•It's still not too late to volunteer. On-line registration will close at 10:00 AM today, but if you'd like to volunteer and you don't make that cut off, just come down, find the volunteer check in tent and tell Erin or Amanda that you want to help. We'd be only to happy to have you.
•Before you head down, review the do's and don'ts to make sure that you're bringing the things you need and not bringing the things that we'll make you walk back and put in your car.
•Remember to come early today! Free admission from 5:00 to 6:00 PM, today only.
•Most importantly, remember to have fun, drink responsibly if you drink, and be nice to your fellow fest goers. And say hi to me if you see me. I'll be the one in the green shirt.

The craic will be mighty.
Cannot wait to see Black 47.
Watch for us in the Legalize the Irish.org tee shirts.
I saw your picture in the business section of today's paper. It's good to know you're more than a figurehead and that you do actual work. :)
