Count Down

This coming Sunday is the 17th. I'm not good with numbers, but I'm pretty sure every month has one of those. Big deal, one might say. But this one is special. This one marks exactly 6 months until St. Patrick's Day.

That calls for a party. And who better to throw said party than those piquant purveyors of all things Paddy, our pals at the St. Patrick's Day Parade committee.

Come celebrate being closer to the next St. Patrick's Day than we are to the last one. This Sunday, September 17th, 3:00 - 8:00 PM, in the private party room at The Point, 917 W.44th, 816-561-7660. A mere $10 donation covers your beer and snacks as long as they hold out (the beer and snacks, not the parade committee). At that event, the winner of the parade theme contest will be announced. My fingers are crossed for my entry, "A Salute To Carrageenan: The Food Additive Made From Irish Seaweed".*
