Woof

I was visiting this past weekend with the delightful and charming daughter of Irish Fest Heritage Stage boss Dick McTygue. Anna McTygue, 13, upon hearing that Irish Fest had named our official baby, thought that we should also have an offical dog. Even though dogs aren't allowed on Irish Fest grounds (service animals being the exception), it seemed like a pretty good idea to me. And as luck would have it, Anna happened to be the proud owner of the perfect pooch. So, here you go Anna. The first (and probably last) Official Kansas City Irish Fest Dog. Here's Waldo, a 6 year old Irish Wheaton Terrier Mix. Long may he chase squirrels.

What about my service animal(dog)?

Service animals, are of course welcome.

Is an Irish Wheaton Terrier similiar to a Soft-Coated Wheaton Terrier?

Beats me. The description of Waldo's breed came from his owners. All I know is that it's a dog.

I think an Irish Wheaton Terrier is just a Wheaton owned by an Irishman.

I thought Wheatons were a breakfast cereal, so it shows what I know.

Thought it might be one of those new hybrid dogs(i.e. shnoodle)
