A reminder: dust off granddad's old fiddle (dust off granddad too, while you're at it) and bring it to the Kansas City Irish Fest Club, our open traditional music session at the Hyatt Hotel after hours. Led by some of our Irish Fest performers, this is an old time pub session and all players as well as listeners are welcome. Fest Club is free and starts when the Fest ends, 10:30 or so each night and will run until the wee hours, or as long as somebody has a tune in them that's dying to get out.

I was at an after hours session in Milwaukee last weekend and somebody showed up with and played a tuba. No kidding. And you know, when I saw it I thought, this is going to sound awful.

Darned if I wasn't right.
