Down to Business

OK, so Dan wanted me to share some of the ins and outs of Irish Fest with you. And as co-chair of the Site Host committee, there’s lots of info to choose from.

Perhaps the easiest way to impart some of this wisdom, would be to review with everyone the Top 10 Questions asked of Site Hosts at last years KCIF.

Number 10
Where can I buy a (insert any merchandise item here)?

You wouldn’t realize it when you’re there, but we have over 20 different vendors at the KCIF this year. And that’s not including the food vendors. I’m here to tell you that if it aint Irish, it aint here.

But what is here is amazing. Everything from apparel to jewelry, barware to sweaters, pottery to marmalade, dog collars to musical instruments, and stained glass to photography.

And the one that always astounds – authentic Irish peat moss. And it’s usually in the shape of something or could be customized with your name. Now why anyone would want an authenticate lump of peat moss is beyond me, but we Irish can be a funny brood.

So look for the big tents with all the vendors in them, or ask a Site Host to point them out. You’re sure to find that perfect gift for the one you love. And keep in mind that peat moss may not be the perfect stocking stuffer.

Tune in later. We’ll keep counting down the list.
