Driving in to work this morning I saw an Irish Fest billboard on Main Street just South of Linwood. It features our smiling 2006 Irish Fest cow, as do the posters that were recently printed and that you'll start to see all over town in the coming days. Our cow's smiling face and little bird pal are also on our yard signs and you'll be seeing it all over Irish Fest, of course, on programs, signs, banners, etc. So it seems like a good time, since I'm reminding you of stuff today, to reintroduce you to Mr. Mike Esberg, our 2006 cow artist. What's the deal with the bird? Is it some Irish kind of bird? Is this the first year for the bird? Is it because of avian flu, wren day (or what)?
