For all of you who are poetically inclined here's another chance to use your anapestic gifts to win free stuff...and really, isn't that what poetry is all about?
Máirtín de Cógáin, of the soon-to-be-world-famous Fuchsia Band, sends word that in celebration of his poet brother Fionán's birthday, 4 copies of said brother's book of poetry will be given away to the best 4 odes, rhymes, sonnets, verses, limericks or other such poetical ramblings sent to Máirtín by July 11. Your composition should be about "Fuchsia (colour or plant), The Fuchsia Band or Fuchsialand". Winning poems will be posted on the Fuchsia Band website on July 16.
Get to writing and send those entries into mairtin@thefuchsiaband.com by July 11 for your chance to win.
And good luck finding rhymes for "fuchsia".
