I told you about a wonderful documentary I saw in May about baseball in Ireland, The Emerald Diamond by New York film maker John Fitzgerald. I'm very pleased to announce that John will be joining us at the Kansas City Irish Fest in September. John will be on hand to discuss his project, answer questions, sell DVDs of the movie, Irish baseball caps and shirts and we're trying hard to find a suitable place and time to have a screening ot two of the film.
It's been a long, frustrating season in Kansas City for fans of our hometown nine, but I guarantee that this movie will put a smile on your face and warm your baseball loving heart.
