One of the happy by-products of the Celtic Tiger that is the Irish economy is increased funding for arts and culture. And we at the Kansas City Irish Fest are benefitting very directly from that financial focus on the arts.Irish Fest performers The Fuchsia Band have been given a generous grant from Culture Ireland to assist them on their North American tour this summer. Culture Ireland, established in 2005, is the Irish Irish State Agency that promotes the best of Ireland’s arts and culture internationally and assists in the development of Ireland’s international cultural relations. The organization will award millions of Euros this year in grants to artists in theatre, dance, film, music, visual art, and literature.
