For Your Listening & Dancing Pleasure

More new music on the ol' website juke box today.

Go N'eiri an Bothar Leat by Gráda. These young nua-traddies are really making a big splash in Ireland and it's easy to hear why. This is one of your must-see shows at the Kansas City Irish Fest this year.

The Mistrel Boy by Enter The Haggis. This is one of the things that got me interested in Celtic Rock (which is a term I really dislike, but use for lack of a better one): A traditional song, reinterpreted and updated. A couple favorite examples are the Young Dubliners Follow Me Up To Carlow and Rocky Road To Dublin. And this one by ETH.

Four Eared Cat by The Kelihans. Our favorite local bar band with a good old fashioned foot stomping tune where Dana attempts to saw that thing in half.

Danny Boy by Seamus Kennedy. This is a deeply silly and possibly slightly disturbed man. This song goes on for a full 7 and a half minutes in it's complete form. Here's a taste.

Let me know what you think. Who are you most looking forward to seeing and hearing at KCIF this year? And believe it or not, we've started our wish list for 2007. Dave's listening. Who would you like to see listed on our Entertainment schedule for next year? Operators are standing by.

Regarding your 2007 entertainment, I suggest you get the Wild Clover Band out of Kearney, NE again. www.wildcloverband.com

I barely like Irish music and I'll listen to these guys. :)

My wife and I would love to get back to KC MO and listening to the Wild Clover Band while we were there would absolutely be icing on the cake. Please include them in your line up for 2007.
