Your Weekend Plans

Sometimes on Monday I like to be helpful and outline your plans for the upcoming weekend for you. I ask nothing in return, just the satisfaction of a good deed done. You're very welcome.

On Friday, isn't it about time you stopped in to see Eddie at The Westsider, 1515 Westport Rd.? I was there this past Friday and he was asking for you. He misses you, and you never call. Drop by on your way home from work. He'll be playing about 5:30 or so. When you see him, ask "Café &...what, Eddie?". I dare you.

If your journey takes you North, why not make a night of it with Bob Reeder? He'll be at Kyle's Tap Room, 6825 North Oak Trafficway in Gladstone, starting at 8:00. He'll go until 1:00 AM, but you might want to save some energy for Saturday and Shamrockin' In Westport.

Beginning at 6:00 PM in the parking lot across the street from the Beaumont Club (4050 Pennsylvania), a mere $10 gets you the Tullintrain West Pipe Band, 2006 KCIF headliners 7 Nations and KC's own The Elders. The music lasts until 11:00, and after that the party moves down the block to Kelly's Westport Inn.

Shamrockin' In Westport is presented by the Westport Community Improvement District and our good friends at the Kansas City St. Patrick's Day Parade.

On Sunday, mow the damn lawn, will you? It looks awful.

and don't forget that Seven Nations is playing at Fatheads in Leavenworth on Friday May 12. it starts at 9 so maybe you could go see eddie play for a bit and then mosey on up there. that is, if you haven't had too much guinness at the westsider.
