At the ungodly hour of 5:50 this morning, 4 of the directors of the Kansas City Irish Fest will jet off to beautiful downtown Pittsburgh, PA for the Irish Fest promoters conference that I've mentioned earlier. Assuming I can figure out how to do it, I'll be reporting from the conference on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This event, held in Milwaukee last year, resulted in a lot of the things you saw (and some you didn't see) at KCIF last year. It's a great opportunity for us to learn from the experiences of our older and wiser sibling festivals around the country. In the next couple years, we hope to host the conference here in Kansas City.
So off we go. See you in Pittsburgh.
