Representatives of The Kansas City Irish Fest took to the local airways on Sunday afternoon to help raise money for public radio station KCUR FM 89.3. Festival Director Ed Scanlon on the left, festival performer Máirtín de Cógáin on the right, and some other fella wheedled, cajoled, badgered, and pleaded with listeners on their way to shattering, shattering I say, their pledge goal for the hour.
We heard from lots of Irish Fest staff and volunteers, and the support you all showed for this great community asset and Irish Fest media partner is much appreciated.
The pledge drive continues this week, so if you didn't get in on Sunday it's not too late. Listen and call in, or pledge on-line at www.kcur.org.
