Writer, raconteur and affable Limerick man, Frank McCourt, makes an appearance in Kansas City on May 1st . The event is being sponsored by our good friends at Rainy Day Books. McCourt made his name as a writer late in life with his compelling Pulitzer Prize-winning memoir, Angela's Ashes, about growing up in poverty stricken Ireland. McCourt’s latest book covers his time working as a teacher in New York. If you like a good storyteller and having a bit of a laugh, then you’ll like Frank McCourt. I wouldn't bet against seeing him at O'Dowd's sipping a pint after, either.
