With St. Patrick's Day behind us, we at KCIF go into full Fest planning mode. To that end, one of the best things to happen to us Festies, as my friend Brian McCarthy calls us, is the annual conference of Irish Festival directors that of few of us from Kansas City will be attending early in April. Last year we traveled to Milwaukee, which of course is Irish Fest Holy Land in America, and brought back a lot of the ideas you saw at KCIF last September. We also made a good impression on some more established events who weren't very familiar with us before the conference. And we made some good friends.
The Pittsburgh Irish Festival is hosting the 2nd Annual Irish Festival Promoter Conference in Pittsburgh, PA Friday, April 7th and Saturday, April 8th. You'll read all about our adventures in PA right here.
