Sessions

The Entertainment Co-ordinator, David Shaughnessy, asked me to let you know that there are going to be sessions in the hotel lobbies. Certainly in the Hyatt anyway - because we know who is staying there and the kind of things they get up to - and maybe also in the Westin Hotel. The sessions will begin in the evening and go til the wee hours. 'Wee Hours' is a term that refers to the hours of the night when you've broken the seal on your Boulevard Stout consumption and find yourself having to wee quite a lot.

A man with much experience of sessions himself, as a highly talented bodhrán player, here is a photograph David took of a session in a legendary pub in my hometown of Dublin. I forget why it's legendary but that doesn't matter; what matters is that people bring their fiddle, tin whistle, mandolin, button accordion, and whatever you're having yourself, and join in as the hotels of Crown Center acquire legendary status.

Handy Irish Phrase: Beidh ceol traidisiúnta maith ag an óstáin anocht (There will be good traditional music at the hotel tonight)
