That's what the Volunteer Co-Chairs asked me recently. Believing it to be a trick question, I answered 'yes' rather than mention some longstanding issues I had with fun Irish people. And this is how the Co-Chairs replied to me - in beautiful harmonies, Sean Nós style:
What better place to experience this than at the Kansas City Irish Fest? Well...Ireland, perhaps, but you are not there!
The 2005 Kansas City Irish Fest is just over a week away. As Volunteer Co-Chairs, we are attempting to recruit over 800 volunteers and would greatly appreciate your help! In exchange for your time, you will receive free admission to the Fest, a free t-shirt, food and drinks in the all new Volunteer Hospitality Tent and the enjoyment of meeting new people.
If you are interested in helping with this very festive and fun event we
encourage you to click on volunteers. Of course we also encourage you to persuade your friends and family to volunteer, as well!
