The profile of The Killdares has been posted on the festival website.
Currently working on their fourth CD, The Killdares claim influences from The Alarm and The Ramones, to the Dixie Chicks and Jethro Tull. You can listen to samples of their new songs on their website. They also comfortably cover Big Country and John Denver, which you may remember if you stood in the mud of 2003. Clearly Celtic, with pipes and the astonishingly accomplished fiddle player, Roberta Rast, The Killdares play what is also undeniably rock'n'roll, meshing traditions and innovations as they go.
For a more personal background on the group, check out fan Emilio Arredondo's tribute website where you can find out the role of "Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan" on the evolution of The Killdare's music. For festival performance details, see The Killdares' profile.
