The profile of The Fuchsia Band has just been published on the website. Keeping in by the wall and minding the buses, The Fuchsia Band are heavily involved in the Workshops Program in the Heritage Area of the festival.
Hailing from County Cork in southwest Ireland the lads have a busy few weeks before they arrive in Kansas City. There's a trip to Spain, and a new CD also on the way.
If you nose around their website you'll find a treasure trove of photos of the lads in West Cork, London, and even an appearance in O'Malley's of Weston, Missouri where front man, actor, singer and seanchai, Máirtín de Cógáin played with Eddie Delahunt. If you haven't ever been to FuchsiaLand then get ready for the festival because The Fuchsia Band are bringing you so much more than a concert.
In the meantime you can catch them most Tuesday evenings in Clancy's Bar - one of Cork City's oldest bars - should ya happen to be in the neighborhood.
