Téada - Profile

Earlier we alluded to a song by Christy Moore, and now we're doing it again. Ballinamore, of which there's a fine ballad by Christy, is where Téada are playing this Saturday. If you can't make it to County Leitrim hold on a few days and the boys will be appearing at the legendary Winnipeg Folk Festival in Manitoba along with the likes of Emmylou Harris and Daniel Lanois. Then these busy Irish boys are coming Stateside before playing in France, before returning to the US, before gigging in Denmark, before returning to North America. Which is where the Kansas City Irish Fest comes in.
Last year, Ireland's electrifying traditionalists wowed and wooed us at the KC Irish Fest with their skill, and the year before last they made quite an impression in Columbia, Missouri.
Oh - and the profile of the band that is Oisín Mac Diarmada, Paul Finn, Damien Stenson, Seán Mc Elwain, and Tristan Rosenstock, is now on the website. Any band that has a member who has appeared on a compilation called "Wooden Flute Obsession Volume 2", is not to be missed.
